Payment and Refund Policy
Last updated: 23 September 2026
Scope of the policy and the products or services it covers
This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all purchases of courses and related services offered through redcarptix. The courses focus on professional video operation, live signal management, content distribution, camera work, and the creation of reliable high-quality feeds for news programmes and television broadcasting. It covers both one-time course purchases and any subscription-based access to training materials. The policy governs transactions made by consumers and businesses located in the United Kingdom and explains how payments are processed and under what circumstances refunds may be issued.
Prices, currencies, taxes, and any additional charges
All prices are displayed in British Pounds Sterling (GBP). Where applicable, United Kingdom Value Added Tax (VAT) at the prevailing rate is included in the displayed price. Additional charges may apply for optional extras such as extended access periods, downloadable resources, or live workshop attendance. Any such charges are clearly shown before payment is authorised. redcarptix reserves the right to adjust prices, but changes will not affect orders already confirmed.
Accepted payment methods, payment authorisation, and payment security
We accept major credit and debit cards, bank transfers, and approved digital wallets. Payment is authorised at the time of order placement. All transactions are processed through secure third-party payment providers that comply with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards. redcarptix does not store full card details. Authorisation confirms that funds are available; actual settlement occurs upon successful order confirmation.
Order, booking, or service confirmation and when a contract is formed
A contract is formed when you receive an order confirmation email after submitting payment details. This email contains course access instructions and a summary of the purchase. Until this confirmation is sent, no contract exists and no payment is finalised. Access to digital course materials is granted immediately upon confirmation unless otherwise stated.
Cancellation rights and applicable cancellation periods
Under UK consumer law you normally have 14 days from the date of purchase to cancel a distance contract. However, for digital content such as online courses, this right is lost once you begin downloading or streaming the material or once performance of the service has started with your agreement. Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time but refunds are limited to the unused portion only where permitted by law.
Refund eligibility, exclusions, and non-refundable items or services
Refunds are available only where the course has not been accessed or downloaded. Once a course has been streamed or materials have been downloaded, refunds are not provided except in cases of technical fault on our side. Promotional or discounted courses, live workshops already attended, and customised training packages are non-refundable. Refunds are also excluded where the purchaser has breached the terms of use.
The step-by-step procedure and information required to request a refund
To request a refund, contact [email protected] or +44 7575 701535 within the applicable period. Provide your order number, full name, and a clear statement of the reason for the request. You may also write to Holmbush Road, London, SW15 3LE, United Kingdom. Requests must include proof of purchase. We will acknowledge receipt within two working days and guide you through any further steps required.
Inspection, approval, rejection, and notification of the refund decision
Each refund request is reviewed within ten working days. We assess whether the course was accessed, whether any technical issues occurred, and whether the request falls within the permitted cancellation window. You will be notified by email of the decision. If approved, the refund amount and expected processing time are stated. If rejected, reasons are provided together with any available alternatives such as course credit.
Refund method, processing time, and when funds should reach the customer
Approved refunds are returned using the original payment method. Processing typically takes five to ten working days after approval, although bank transfer refunds may take up to fourteen days depending on the receiving institution. You will receive confirmation once the refund has been issued. Chargeback fees or currency conversion costs may be deducted where applicable.
Special rules for digital content, subscriptions, services, or promotional offers where relevant
Digital courses are supplied immediately upon payment. By agreeing to immediate access you acknowledge that the 14-day cancellation right is waived once streaming or downloading begins. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Promotional offers are subject to the same refund rules as standard purchases unless specific terms state otherwise. Live services such as scheduled broadcasts or workshops are non-refundable once the event has commenced.
Failed payments, duplicate charges, chargebacks, and suspected fraud
Failed payments must be resolved within seven days or the order will be cancelled. Duplicate charges are investigated promptly and refunded where verified. Chargebacks are treated as refund requests and may result in suspension of access pending resolution. Suspected fraudulent activity leads to immediate account review and may involve reporting to relevant authorities while preserving evidence.
Mandatory consumer rights in the target country that the policy cannot exclude
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, or the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations. These rights cannot be excluded or limited. If any provision of this policy conflicts with mandatory law, the law prevails.
